I have to confess I had never heard of Elizabeth Gilbert or her books before I googled her after I was asked to go and take her portrait. That shows you how plugged in I am to the zeitgeist doesn't it.
I've been getting some good feedback on the picture The NY Times ran for Peter Applebome's story on the Meadowlands racetrack. Which is nice. It was a great place to photograph, the people were very friendly and I recommend visiting the place to bet on/watch the races, have a picnic with the kids, sip a couple of beers and generally soak up the atmosphere. Just try and avoid betting your mortgage payment in the fifth race. That's probably not a good idea.
